For this proposal I got inspiration from photographer Veronica Bailey, who has photographed books, newspaper and letters. Her work creates visual intrigue into the history of the objects she photographs.
Th images are strong in colour and are in the centre of each composition. The bottom image is a lot like what I want to achieve. To achieve these images she looked at over 1,000 books in the Old Staff Library glass cabinets. The photographs create visual intrigue which I want to try and achieve with my photographs on book indentations. The black backgroundis also used, like my initial shots, this makes the book/ envelopes stand out. The images give us an insight into the timeless publications. The top photograph of a book is rather insight becuase of the pages stretching right acorss the image in lines, this is rather interesting as well.
